Eriksen compared to Laudrup

Despite being only 19 years old, Christian Eriksen has already become a transfer target for some of the biggest clubs in the world including Barcelona and Chelsea. He is often compared to the former great Danish footballer Michael Laudrup, who played for clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid during his illustrious career.

Christian Eriksen is very much thought to be the next Michael Laudrup and it is certainly not surprising to see why. The 19-year-old Ajax midfielder has already become a first team regular for the national team, and many regard it to be only a matter of time before he eventually moves to a bigger club.

Michael Laudrup may have commanded some of the highest transfer fees in the world, but they are likely to be broken by any move Eriksen makes.

One of the greatest midfield players of all time – Johan Cruyff – has spoken of his admiration for the player. Cruyff said in an interview "He’s a player I really like with all my heart. This prize is just the beginning, a stimulus to get the maximum out of his career. The talent is there, the recognition also; now it is up to the player himself."

If he does move this summer, then Ajax would have made a handsome profit on the player, who signed as a 16-year-old for just €1 million. It is reported that he could fetch anywhere between €35 million-€45 million. This would put him at the reach of only a few clubs.

Despite the Premier League being considered as one of the best leagues in the world, Christian Eriksen has already spoken of his desire to move to the Spanish League with Barcelona. If he does so, then he could very well be following the footsteps of the great Michael Laudrup.
