Laudrup on Zidane

Former Real Madrid player Michael Laudrup believes that Real Madrid should not sack Zinedine Zidane after their poor run of form. He said that Zidane has been formidable ever since having taken charge of the Real Madrid team and has won so many trophies in such a small period of time that this should buy him some credit.

He said that it is not an easy job to manage a team such as Real Madrid and he believes that Zidane has been doing a great one. Michael Laudrup said that Zidane took charge of the team in a difficult period where the team was not performing well and that he has done a great thing turning things around.

He said that Zinedine Zidane had been the first manager to win the Champions League twice in a row with a single club and this is in itself a wonderful achievement.

He believes that as a manager that there are times that performance will not be at their optimum level and that you will have to learn to deal with it.

Michael Laudrup said that this is not because of a bad season that he has suddenly become a bad manager. He believes that the success that he has brought in his first season should give him some time at the head of the team.

He believes that Zinedine Zidane is the right man for the job and that he has the necessary skills and experience to bring Real Madrid to the next level. He believes that there is a good squad at Real Madrid, but they seem to be suffering mentally.
