MICHU SORRY FOR LAUDRUP

Swansea striker Michu says that he is sorry to see former manager Michael Laudrup leave the club. After a poor run of results, the club decided to part ways with Laudrup, who gave Swansea their first major trophy in the history of the club last season. The former Barcelona midfielder led the club to Capital One Cup glory against all the odds.

This has also allowed the club, which were fighting in League One not so long ago, to be able to play in European competitions like the Europa league. After spending a huge amount of money on players like Wilfried Bony in the summer, Laudrup has been unable to get results this campaign.

After a disappointing run of matches, the club finds itself just a few points above the relegation zone. There have also been several stories coming out of the club claiming that the manager had fallen out with several players. Michu was one of the names who came to the club due to the presence of Laudrup. He was a revelation in his first season in English football. Michu is still regarded as bargain for the club after having spent just £ 2 million on the player. He says that Laudrup’s exit is very disappointing to see, but he has faith in Gary Monk’s abilities.

“I think Michael was a really good gaffer but Garry Monk is doing well. He is just starting out and we are trying to help him and I think he will be a really good gaffer as well. Together we are fighting for Swansea, we are defending the badge and we are happy to do that. We are going to save the club in the Premier League this season and we are going to finish happy and higher than the position we are now,” said Michu.
