ERIKSEN JOINS LIST OF DANES TO FEATURE IN SERIE A

With the Dane out of contract at the end of the season, Spurs wants to recoup some kind of fee for one among their top players, instead to allow him to steer away for free in six months time. Inter are keen to take advantage of the situation and have regularly met with Eriksen's agent to discuss personal terms.

As noted by Gazzetta Dello Sport, the midfielder has accepted a four-and-a-half-year contract to move to San Siro this month, ending a six-year stint with the North London club. Eriksen had to lower his demands to succeed in an agreement.

He initially wanted an annual wage of around €10m but has since accepted €7.5m plus bonuses. Now, all that's left to agree on maybe a transfer fee. Spurs remain keen to get in around €20m, but Inter are yet to make a decision on whether to pay that sort of cash for a player who could join for free at the end of the season.

Manchester United and Real Madrid were also credited with strong interest in the player, but it seems the player is destined to join Antonio Conte men in San Siro.

Former Denmark International, Michael Laudrup has also encouraged his fellow countryman to make the move to Italy, the former Barcelona midfielder stated the Serie A will be the ideal league for Eriksen, stating the pace of the league will suit his technical ability.

Eriksen will be expected to make an immediate impact in Italy to aid Inter's bid for the SeriaA title. Inter Milan are second on the table and are three points behind serial league winners, Juventus.
