ERIKSEN SET TO IMPRESS

Michael Laudrup is easily one of the greatest talents to have come out of the Ajax team.

Many are predicting that he will be reincarnated in the form of Christian Eriksen, who is one of the world's most highly rated youngsters.

The Ajax midfielder is capable of playing in various positions midfield very much like Michael Laudrup. Hence, it has been rumoured that Christian Eriksen would become a winner of the Ballon d'Or award by the time the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off. The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be held in Russia and there are many promising young stars who will be competing with Christian Eriksen during that time.

Lasse Vigen Christensen, Kenneth Zohore, Christian Nørgaard, Pierre Emile Højbjerg, Viktor Fischer, and Andreas Christensen are all the players who are set to star in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. These are the youngsters who have been snapped up by big clubs across Europe. It is also not surprising to know that Christian Eriksen, who will be in his prime when the World Cup kicks off.

Christian Eriksen is only 18 years right now and was already the youngest player at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

“I think that Denmark is beginning to reap the rewards of the system that Morten Olsen implemented, but I also believe that youth coaches, such as the under-17 coach Thomas Frank, have done a fantastic job. You never know, there could be a surprise inclusion of one of the young starlets. But then the talent would have to be extraordinary, to the point where it is clear that the individual has a bright future in the national team,” Ajax scout John Steen Olsen told Tipsbladet.
