Michael Laudrup considers Andres Iniesta to be a ‘’Total Midfielder’’

The former Barcelona player, Michael Laudrup has voiced his thoughts concerning Andres Iniesta and the Danish manager believes that Iniesta is a total midfielder who is capable of doing anything on the pitch in an effective way.

“Iniesta was very good, now he’s spectacular. He’s matured, he’s more complete. He’s turned into the total midfielder. He’s significantly improved his contribution to team play, not only with the ball at his feet as before but for all the work in pressing and stealing the ball’’ Michael Laudrup said he praised Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta.

Andres Iniesta is 31 years old but still is a constant starter for Barcelona and plays a huge role in the Spanish club as he is one of the more experienced players in the entire team but is still capable of competing alongside the younger performers.

Michael Laudrup released those statements a few weeks ago back in November of 2015 when Barcelona claimed a 4-0 triumph over Real Madrid.

The Danish coach, Michael Laudrup has more free time available for him after having decided to leave his managerial position in the Qatar Stars League club Lekhwiya. Laudrup was rumored on becoming the new coach of the Danish national side but it was confirmed later on that he turned down this position.

Laudrup was also rumored on taking up the coaching position of Valencia but it never happened as the Spanish club offered this role to Gary Neville who accepted it a few weeks ago. This has left the Danish coach with a cloud of doubt surrounding him as to what will be his next job in the world of football.

Back in his playing career, Laudrup lifted many titles including: La Liga, King’s Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Serie A just to name a few of them, he hasn’t had the same privilege of adding a truly big piece of silverware as a manager but it might happen if he decides to take charge of a big European club.
