REXACH WANTS LAUDRUP AT BARCA

Barcelona legend Carles Rexach has said that either Michael Laudrup or Ronald Koeman will be great replacements for the current Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola, who is widely speculated to leave the Camp Nou at the end of the season.

Pep Guardiola's contract comes to an end at the end of the season, while there has been no news regarding the possibility of a new deal.

Even though the officials of Barcelona remain extremely confident that they can convince Pep Guardiola to sign for another year, they are already looking for possible replacements. Former Barcelona player Carles Rexach has said that former Mallorca coach Michael Laudrup could be a great option.

Michael Laudrup left Mallorca earlier in the season under difficult circumstances, but is widely regarded to be one of the best players in the history of Barcelona. It would hold him in good nature when it comes to taking over from one of the most successful managers in the history of Barcelona. Guardiola has achieved a lot since taking over from Frank Rijkaard in 2008. He has not only helped Barcelona win the Spanish league title three times in a row, but he has also guided them to two Champions League titles in three years.

"Guardiola's replacement should be someone who is part of the Barcelona family or someone who knows the club very well. Guys like Ronald Koeman, Michael Laudrup and Ernesto Valverde are candidates in my opinion. I believe that they are waiting for the chance to take over at Barcelona. On the long term, I expect that one of Ivan de La Pena or Oscar Garcia will be ready for the job within three years," Rexach said in an interview given to radio station. Michael Laudrup is a manager who knows Barcelona inside out.
